"Protester" Misconduct Catch All Thread

Here in Seattle control of the strets has gone over to thje mob. Plice at the start were told to back off. An autonomous zone, CHOP, was declared excluding press, police, and emergency services. They armed themselves and a car that wanderd in was riddled with bullets k8illing ocupants.

Police have been deserting Seattle PD in numbers. Last report SPD is down over 100 officers, they are going elsewhere in the state.

Last summer unannounced protestors walked out onto I5 in downtown Seattle. A woman was struck and killed by a car. Family is suing Seattle for not providing safety of a mob on a highway.

An avowed Marxists on our cuity counsel illegaly opend city hall at night to a mob. She says she wants to bring down the system and relace it wir her vision of democracy. She is an Indian immigrant.

If that is not insurrection I do not know what is.

Our mayor is just as inept and lacking leadership as Trump.

Last report says over 160 businesses have left Seattle due to crime and violence. 3rd ave downtown was once vibrant and thriving. Now it is boarded up and deserted, like an apocalypse movie.

Here in Seattle it is way past civil disobedience and misconduct. It is street rule by a leaderless mob.

Every year since the WTO riots the anarchists dressed in black Ninja clothes with humanmade weapons and fire bombs cause damage and try to provoke police.

It is true that mainstream media focusses solei on the radical right. The only attention we got was when Trump sent agents.

Unless it is a serious felony like assault protesters, rioters, are not being charged. Due to pushback by business in Seallte there may be a shift.

Right now you can damage property with little consequence.

More Antifa rioting in Portland

Reported antifa rioters smash windows and vandalize businesses in downtown Portland over Biden's immigration policies

When do we get enough resources to finally go after and fix this?"

About 150 rioters marched through Portland’s Pearl District, the site of many of the summer’s most destructive protests in the city. Rioters smashed windows and tagged businesses such as Starbucks, Chipotle, Umpqua Bank, and Urban Pantry with graffiti.
Police were only able to make two arrests, including a 31-year-old rioter that was arrested for criminal mischief and a 17-year-old who was detained for interfering with a peace officer.

Even these two arrests are probably futile because DA Mike Schmidt is routinely dismissing charges against Antifa and other left-wing rioters.

A man refused to mask up at a high school basketball game. Then he killed an officer who intervened, police say.

The George Washington Carver High School basketball team had built a huge early lead in its playoff game in New Orleans on Saturday when John Shallerhorn tried to walk into the gym. But Shallerhorn, 35, wasn’t wearing a mask, so a staffer blocked his way, police said.

When Shallerhorn punched the staffer, Tulane University police officer Martinus Mitchum, who was working security for the team, rushed to help. That’s when Shallerhorn pulled a gun, police said, and fatally shot Mitchum, 38, in the chest, sending players and fans scurrying for safety.

Shallerhorn, who was quickly arrested and charged with multiple felonies including murder of a police officer, had also robbed someone outside the game before coming inside, according to a criminal complaint reviewed by nola.com.

As tragic as it is, this is about a thuggish (he also committed armed robbery earlier) asshole at a high school basketball game. It has nothing to do with protests or riots, so why post in this thread?

Ah, so hes not protesting masks?

Thuggish armed robber assholes can still be anti-mask protestors. In fact I think it describes most of them quite well sans the "robber" part.

The word "Protester" in the thread title is in scare quotes, and the OP implies the "protesters" are really just violent thugs. Derec said he was

Waiting for the usual suspects on here to try to explain how assaulting police officers and destruction of property are justified.

It seems to me that the robber who shot a cop when confronted for refusing to wear a mask is exactly the sort of person this thread is about.

That or else the OP was an attempt to paint anyone protesting anything with a very broad, tar-covered brush.

The Portland and Seattle politicians are running scared, afraid of being labeled racists. It is as simple as that, tyranny by the minority.

I listened to our mayor Derkins speak near where I li9ve outside in a parking lot. She was heckled by ANTIFA people shouting anti American rantings.

Then you are reading it selectively, with bias. He has publicly expressed his objection, loudly and with protest. Then he shot some folks.

That's not "simply" anything.

He protested when they asked him to put a mask on. His protest was murder.

We are disagreeing on the meaning of the word "protester".

I do not see even vocal non-compliance as being a protester. To me a protester is trying to sway people's opinions about something with planned actions, not merely objecting, refusing to comply with the rules.

And Seattle ...

13 arrested for property damage, assault after destructive march in Seattle

KING5 said:
Seattle police arrested 13 people Saturday night after a march downtown turned destructive. The march was planned to mark the one year anniversary of the death of Breonna Taylor, a Black woman, who was shot and killed by police during a botched drug raid at her Louisville, Kentucky home.
[...]
During the march, police said members of the group pulled barricades, fencing, and cones out of a construction zone on Alaskan Way between Yesler Way and Columbia Street, blocking traffic in several lanes. The Washington State Patrol had to temporarily close the ferry terminal until the marchers cleared the area, police said.
At about 8:20 p.m., officers started arresting identified individuals who had tampered with the construction zone. Police said while this was happening, other members of the group began throwing rocks at police. One officer was struck by a rock but his helmet kept him from being injured, police said.
[...]
The group made their way to Belltown around 9 p.m. and started vandalizing businesses in the area of 2nd Avenue and Lenora Street with spray paint and broke several large windows, police said. They continued into the downtown core and caused more damage to businesses in the area of 6th Avenue and Pine Street.

Um, Rosa Parks? Not a protestor in your estimation?

More "protester" misconduct ...

First, New York City.

Video Shows Protesters Smashing Windows at NYC Restaurant While Patrons Dine

A bunch of #BLMers vandalized NYC restaurant "Balthazar" and a police car.

Then, we move to Chiraq. A bunch of people were blocking traffic to "protest" the shooting of an armed gang member (Latin Kings).
Marchers Take To Logan Square Streets To Demand Justice For 13-Year-Old Adam Toledo
Block Club Chicago said:
The Friday night protest, which was organized autonomously, started and ended at Palmer Square Park. Despite the small crowd of about 50 people, marchers took to the streets and stopped traffic at various intersections, with police cars following behind and on side streets.

People chanted and held signs that read, “Abolish the police” and members from the Little Village Community Council attended with signs that read, “Justice for Adam” in English and Spanish.
Yeah, because when police are abolished, gangs like Latin Kings can go about their criminal activities (such as shooting people over haircuts) without interference.

“No country is right for a child to die at the hands of our law enforcement,” said Enrique Enriquez, a member of the Little Village Community Council who helped organize an earlier rally in Little Village and knows the Toledo family. “We are not going to allow any of this to continue [in Little Village].”
How about not allowing your 13 year old kids to join gangs and shoot guns at 2:30 in the morning? How about that, wise guy?

Oh, yeah, Adam Toledo aka Baby Diablo was just 13 years old. I guess 90s Hillary was right.

You realize that it's often not the protesters that do the damage.

You realize that it's often not the protesters that do the damage.

There has been zero evidence for any widespread false flag violence during the #BLM/Antifa riots. There is no reason to think the creeps who attacked the Balthazar restaurant or who blocked streets in Chicago for "Bvby Diablo" are not true believers.
Or take Colinford Mattis and Urooj Rahman. Do you believe they were some sort of right wing agent provocateurs despite their history of left-wing activism?

We have multiple arrests of false-flag vandalism. And we have obvious patterns of protesters being followed by vandals.
