Define Christian liberty. How does it differ from liberty in general?

No, I’m not in seminary. I’m sorry I should have elaborated, I am new to forums. No I was just reading some of the NT. Basically Christian Liberty it seems is at odds with an individualistic concept of liberty. Which makes sense because if I’m correct from my Christian Europe course in college the early Christians were somewhat communal and collectivist. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I think you are right.

In the Lord's Prayer 'give us this day our daily bread' was not said over a full dinner. It was about having enough food for one more day. Like was cheap.

His yoke is light.
He hears the groaning of the prisoner.
He renders Philemon and Onesimus free equals.

On atheism, we see an absurd form of 'hamster wheel' slavery that Camus rightly identified in Sisyphus. Jesus and His apostle Paul offer Sisyphus the Good News that we can be free of the wash-rinse-repeat... then die of materialism.

The gospel Jesus was nothing about Liberality ,Reality, and Brotherhood.

He was about bear your suffering, belie, and you will have a glorious eternal heaven...when you die.

If you are a slave be a good one and a credit to your master.

"His truth will set you free"...my born-again cousins, in my estimation, are anything but free. Their thinking is stunted. Their grasp of science is nonexistent.
"His yoke is light"...(Luke 14) -- If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brother and sister, yes, even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. (Luke 12) -- Sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor. This kind of pronouncement strikes me as end times fanaticism, but of course, I didn't provide context, as nearly all of today's well-fed American Christians would tell me.
