JD Vance, disciple of Curtis Yarvin?

Because of the upcoming debate today, Rachel Maddow did a very interesting commentary on one very influential source of Vance's political philosophy and that of his Silicon Valley oligarch backers. The interview that she features is from 2021 with a blogger, who discussed Vance's connection with Curtis Yarvin. She also plays clips from a 2012 (Obama era) speech in which Yarvin advocated for eliminating US leadership by "ripping them out like a tumor". Yarvin wanted them replaced with a kind of "national CEO" that he equated with a dictatorship. He felt that Americans needed to get over their dictatorship phobia. I expect Vance to play down his relationship with Yarvin, if questioned on it now, just like he plays down any connection with Project 2025. The video is 11 minutes long.

They're definitely connected, though I would have assumed it was more a question of their mutual friend in Peter Thiel than a direct discipleship situation. Damn near everyone in the alt-right movement is connected to Curtis Yarvin somehow or other, his essays are required reading for Incel 101 and his talking points are aped every night by right wing pundits and broadcasters.
