Looks like vaccination is going away

Florida to do away with First World standard of living.

Should we be happy that they haven't banned vaccination... yet?
article said:
Florida’s surgeon general on Wednesday announced plans to end all state vaccine mandates, including for children to attend schools, which would make it the first state to completely withdraw from a practice credited with boosting vaccination rates and controlling the spread of infectious diseases.

Surgeon General Joseph A. Ladapo said Wednesday that every vaccine mandate “drips with disdain and slavery.” His stances on vaccines and other measures intended to protect Floridians have drawn criticism from public health experts and advocates.

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who endorsed the move, said his administration can unilaterally end some vaccine mandates but that “the rest would require changes from the legislature.”

“There are a handful, maybe a half a dozen vaccines that are mandated. So those are going to be gone for sure,” Ladapo said during a news conference. “We need to end it. It’s the right thing to do.”
Disdain and slavery?

Florida... the you will want to think twice before visiting it State.

I read about Florida no longer requiring kids in public schools to have vaccines while at lunch. All, I can say is I pity the kids in Florida who have parents so stupid as to not get them vaccinated. Those of us who were born prior to the development of the polio and MMR vaccines remember how awful measles was as well as watching tv news that showed people in the iron lung etc. This is just sad.

Part of my job when I worked as a public health nurse was to check the vaccine records in the public schools to make sure the children had all of their required vaccines and to notify the parents if their were any missing.

Slavery? I guess it's slavery to have speed limits, red lights, seat belt requirements, required driver's licenses and insurance, drug laws, and limits on free speech, like not being allowed to threaten someone with violence to name a few examples of what must seem like slavery to these idiots. Why doesn't Florida do away with things like that too? /s

Maybe it won't be too much longer before Florida is. under water due to over building and climate change. I'd move if I lived in Florida. Glad we sold our little Florida vacation condo in 2018. it's not longer the charming little place that it once was.

Last time I went to FL was for my grandmother's funeral a few years ago. But now I have no reason to go there anymore.
