This is me, just saying, Biden is a very decent human being. And he was a successful President against great headwinds. That he failed to see sooner that he could not do a second term is sad but doesn't detract from that he was a very good President and a good person.
He was given a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Edward M. Kennedy Institute in Boston.
The Boston Globe had an Opinion on it.
Probably Paywalled. Globe doesn't give me shares.

Biden - “Get up, America, get up, get up, get up now.”
Our piece of shit current president would probably label Biden a terrorist for that.
Wholly hell.
I miss Biden.

He said America depends on a presidency with limited power, a functioning Congress and an autonomous judiciary. With the federal government facing its second-longest shutdown on record, Trump has used the lapse in funding to exercise new command over the government.
"Friends, I can’t sugarcoat any of this. These are dark days,” Biden said. He predicted the country would “find our true compass again” and “emerge as we always have — stronger, wiser and more resilient, more just, so long as we keep the faith.”
Biden listed examples of people who are standing their ground against threats from the current administration, citing federal employees who resign in protest, and universities and comedians that have been targeted by Trump.

Biden’s message: ‘Get up, America’
Honored in Boston Sunday night, the former president looked frail and sounded raspy. But for those willing to listen, his message was loud and clear.
Could he deliver? Yes, he could.
Former president Joe Biden’s health is a concern, and his White House legacy is under attack, not only by President Trump but also by fellow Democrats. So even in the warm and friendly crowd of 500 guests who gathered to honor him Sunday night, there was trepidation over his ability to rise to the occasion.
Could Biden, 82, stay on point as he accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Edward M. Kennedy Institute in Dorchester? Could he stay awake for the whole event?
He did that and more. Having recently completed a round of radiation therapy for an aggressive form of prostate cancer, Biden looked frail and sounded raspy. But for those willing to listen, his message was loud and clear.
Democracy, Biden said, “depends on respect for institutions. It depends on a presidency with limited power. It depends on a functioning Congress. It depends on an autonomous judiciary. It depends on a free and independent press.” He did not mention Trump by name. But anyone who is paying attention knows that each of those pillars of democracy is under assault with Trump in the White House.
Acknowledging how tempting it is to check out from the bad news, Biden urged Americans to do the opposite. “It’s time to fight like hell, to fight like Teddy would fight,” he said. “Get up, America, get up, get up, get up now.”
