Basic Beliefs
Science Based Atheism
This is sort of like an old school D&D alignment system. For belief you can have complete faith (even to the degree where science is thrown out for a fundie) all the way to a absolute factual certainty against at least a fundamentalist reading of a religion.

For adherence from a zealot to a determined enemy with apathy in the middle.

Seems that for much of the past adherence was the most important thing, since that was before crazy christians started the salvation by mental belief state of credulity and fear.

For the Jews before them adherence was an obligation/birthright and the concept of questioning the existence of god was like questioning the reality of the sun and moon. It made no sense and basically no one did it.

I am probably near a -8 or -9 (-10 to +10 scale) on belief and -3 for adherence (-10 would be a church arsonist).

I've seen numerous charts plotting knowledge against belief; for instance,
gnosticvstheism-300x300.png

But a fairly short search returns nothing similar plotting adherence vs. belief. It would be hard to ascribe negative numbers on the adherence axis to any extant organizations; American Atheists, and perhaps the Church of Satan?
