78% of statements that include "44%" are accurate, so we should take this seriously.

While I don't know the actual percentage, I find a significant portion of Texans are assholes.

Forty-four percent of Texas voters — including 31 percent of Democrats — think that it is very or somewhat likely that the federal government is sending troops to Texas and other states so it can impose martial law; 43 percent think it is likely that the federal government just wants to take their guns.

Uh, um . . . I got nothing.

43% of people in Coer d'Alene Idaho believe that contrails behind airplanes are really Chemtrails

Well that is according to an internet poll anyway.

Funny thing happens when you have an internet poll about a conspiracy theory.

Sure, some politicians are stoking the Jade Helm crazies.

Hell, those conspiracy nuts can scream so much on the internet they make themselves seem numerous and what good politician is going to ignore such a worried constituency?

The poll conducted in the OP wasn't an internet poll so . . . OK!

False. There's an invalid premise here--"forty-four percent of Texas voters...think".

Oh. The thread evolved like it was a story about an internet poll. People were joking about internet polls and weren't corrected so I assumed.

I guess I should have followed my own rule and clicked through the links until I found the original paper and checked the methods.

Where'd they take the poll? Outside a gun show?
