The first Netgear 802.11ax router is not scheduled to go on sale until December 21st, but I saw it for sale at a Best Buy.
At the moment, there are no ax endpoint devices available (those start to come out over the upcoming year), so there's no real benefit to getting it, although I'm considering it for future-proofing and so that I can use the existing ac router as an access point.
I just recently moved a bunch of devices to ethernet connections, so my Wi-Fi network is far less crowded, but we still have dead spots. I could just get a cheaper access point, but where's the fun in that?
