Sexism is not based on race, so your response seems off-point.
It is possible the hackers were motivated by racism or sexism, especially given the immediate history. In fact, using Derec's favorite methodology of using probabilities, it is likely. Of course, it is possible that this invasion of privacy has nothing to do with racism or sexism.

IMO, the motivating factors for this disgusting invasion of privacy are not terribly important. They are a reminder that there are awful human beings in this world.

Obviously it's the nature of the attacks, from the ones she's had to endure online (I'm subscribed to Trump's feed, so I see a lot of racism on Twitter) to the nature of the postings on her web page. You can post a lot of animals in comparison to someone in order to degrade them. They chose a gorilla. If they happen today, it is very, very rare. Of course, if you claim every black person who commits suicide by hanging was really "lynched" then you inflate the numbers, and fear, artificially. For example the Piedmont Park hanging. The black racists still insist it was a lynching.

That history apparently includes racist tweets by Leslie herself. It's quite hypocritical when she accuses others of racist tweets against her when she seems to be guilty of the same thing.

Can you elaborate on how you came to that conclusion. These hacks tend to be based on opportunity. Look at the Fappening. All those women had nude photos in poorly secured iCloud accounts. Celebrities get targeted all the time, and hackers got nudes off her phone because a) there were nudes there b) they were able to get in. I do not think we need to postulate reasons beyond that.

I am actually glad this is getting some publicity, as anything that gets people to think just a little bit harder about the security around their own personal information makes the entire country just a little bit safer from cyber warfare.

I think the posting of a picture of a gorilla on her website is a good indication that this was not simply random shittiness.
