Any news? Iranian waters

I was on the phone with a survey taker and had the ABC World News on mute, when at the bottom of the screen, the rolling bar started a brief blurb - something about the USS Nitze taking fire or firing on an Iranian aircraft. The rolling bar was interrupted, something else took its place and it wasn't repeated and I'm unable to find anything else about the story anywhere.

Has anyone heard anything?

Not sure if it the same incident but I saw a report where a US boat shot at some Iranian boats
1 US vessel and 4 Iranian vessels
Some thing about the Iranian boats coming too close on intercept path

That is probably it, though I thought I read that something had been sunk. But I won't go all conspiracy theory on the story.
