i can reliably cure other people of the hiccups.

As can anyone if they try enough.

prereq: brahma, vishnu, shiva diaphragm breathing. inhale through the nose - brahma, hold it - vishnu, exhale through the mouth - shiva
doing this will pretty much cure your own hiccups

for someone else - hold your hands out palms down, atop your friends hands. lock eyes with them. breathe for them - they will naturally match your rhythm

oh, when i was in 8th grade, i had acupuncture - with electricity added.
