At what number of electoral losses will the GOP be forced to stop coup attempts?

I think it's important to take a very large step back and look at the US from a world perspective....to look at patterns of other right-wing coup attempts in other countries.

There are other countries where the right-wing is the Party of Victimhood and claims the opposition is unfair Stalinists. They do this in order to gain support politically and they alternatively violently protest, riot, shutdown the government, refuse to even participate in the elections, develop conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory, ... It is often the oligarchs connected to industry who finance the coups and misinformation and they have their own right-wing media infrastructure that is used to organize the coup attempts.

We've only had one major coup attempt so far, but the conspiracy theories haven't really stopped from being a majority-part of the opposition party. The right-wing media infrastructure, oligarchs, and religious leaders who all hoped to benefit from a coup are still out there. Since Democrats are now in charge, it means that Republican propaganda will be at an all-time high, there is no taking any blame by Republicans from any bad outcome, and any outcome at all can be spun as the fault of the Party in charge. This is also true for the elections of house members in 2 years. Any losses will be due to conspiracies. All the illegal aliens Biden let in... Dominion. Socialism.

There are much less boundaries these days on unchecked power, on dark money. Since the Supreme Court declared money is speech and removed the need for some transparency, it's gotten worse. All we are doing is delaying the inevitable by hoping for "good" oligarchs (like Bloomberg) and owners of Big Tech to make decisions beneficial to democracy. Most recently you can see the risk involved when Google starts making financial deals with Rupert Murdoch...it's just an example.

What I expect to happen is a lot of complaining and shouting of socialism and other crap in two years....and following that another two years of screaming, followed by even worse rioting at the next Presidential election if a Democrat wins again. Because of the lack of limits. 2024 will surely come with military and police presence to keep an insurrection at bay, but rioting will find a way to happen somewhere/somewhen anyhow.

BUT I want to turn the question around. Thus, the thread title.

So, how many electoral losses until the Republicans say, "hey we're sorry. We lied about all these conspiracies. We're going to start all over now fresh and without propaganda. You all won legitimately and so we'll just run on principles."

At what number of electoral losses will Republicans ask their seditionists to bring guns?

You might be asking the wrong question.
Republicans are likely asking each other how many electoral losses should they put up with before they tell their morons to bring guns to the next coup attempt.

Since their base has been crazed by their noise machine, they are now dancing with a bear, and that makes switching partners pretty hard. They are way past 80% corrupt, to judge by the number of GOP senators and reps who voted to literally overturn a democratic election, then to call off Impeachment II: The Wrath of Donald, and finally to acquit the orange sociopath. So the OP, at this point, poses a question that may have no resolution any time soon. As your base gets crazier, and whiter, and older, how do you redirect them? If your default is egregious lying, how does honesty come into your makeup? If you've been scheming for decades to rule as a minority power, using every sucker punch you've got, you get (judging by the trend in this century) sneakier, dirtier, and more dishonest.

When their leadership starts going to prison for inciting violence and conspiracy. Until then it costs them practically nothing to get gullible masses to attempt violent takeovers.

What does the number of electoral votes have to do with it? It's not about democracy in the first place!

But they've been calling slight advantages in the EC 'landslides' and 'mandates from the people,' you'd think losing by the same number would be as much of a mandated landslide....

“You’d think”, and that would be your first mistake.
The OP question is probably inverted. It should be “At what number of coup attempts will they be forced to abandon elections altogether”.

I think the OP is an interesting question. I am not sure that the GOP will suffer electoral losses in 2022.

If they don't, it will only reaffirm the ineptitude of the Democrats. And portend some real ills for 2024.
