How about a sensible idea. You don't use a taser on a charging man unless you have another cop backing you up with a gun.

Well how do you think every western fucking nation in the world does it? I send out officers to deal with deranged individuals every shift and they are unarmed. They manage to do this with out shooting anyone, why can´t your police? Are american officers bigger pussies than German officers or Icelandic ones or British?

P.S. Stop pretending you are an expert on use of force, the closest you ever got to police or military work, is when you curled up in you footsie pajamas with the new Tom Clancy and a tub of Chunky Monkey.

I decide based on what looks to me like it has a racist angle.

IOW, if the person harmed was not white, therefore racism. Not so much a "decision" (which implies actual thought) as a blind, faith-based application of an ideology.

I'll have to pick myself up off the floor, the first time you ever even acknowledge the possibility of non-racist factors, such as in this case, the violent mental disorder that the cops had every reason to think was extremely likely for any adult hanging out naked in a parking lot then charging cops armed with guns.

Also, whether it was "okay" for the cops to shoot a man they had sound reason to think was mentally ill and about to assault them is a separate issue from whether there is any evidence that his blackness was the main cause for their reaction rather than the other more fact-supported possibilities. Fear for their life in such a way that keeping distance between themselves and the suspect was possible (unlike a gun situation).

I'd agree there. There is no indication that I'm aware of that race had an active role in this, though it could have had a perceptional role.

For all that crying about misrepresentation I still don't see any condemnation for the police shooting an unarmed naked man.

I drove past that apartment complex yesterday afternoon. There were a few news vans as well as police cars parked on the Chamblee Tucker Rd. overlooking the complex (it is below road level so I could not see if there was anything going on still) and I was wondering what was happening.
Hopefully the professional "peaceful" protesters don't descend on here like they did in Ferguson. There is a brand-new Quiktrip very close (right across I-85) that I frequent so they better not burn it down.

By the way, DeKalb County is run by a black CEO and has a black chief of police.

It'd be nice if you or others like you could understand how the Ferguson Police Department repeatedly screwed the pooch in the aftermath of that shooting. They were a PR nightmare.
