I am not a voting member of course, but I can still form opinion that their decision is wrong and amounts to caving to an extremist, anti-police group.

Of course you can form and express any opinion you wish. Opinions based on fact and the willingness to understand the views of others are usually more persuasive than opinions based on bias and ignorance. Maybe someday you will learn that.

Are they? I see no hostility from Toronto police toward black people. But I see a lot of irrational hostility from #BLM toward police.

Anti-#BLM != anti-black. Given that most violent crime is intraracial, black people are the main victims of the thugs that become #BLM poster boys, from Michael Brown to Keith Lamont Scott.

Btw, I am seeing some reports that #BLM is trying to disrupt the inauguration. Playing right into Cheeto's hands again, just like they did during the campaign.

Well if none of us are there we must go by what is presented to us. Toronto is a pretty peaceful city overall. And the examples that article gave were pretty weak - some black gallery owner was tased but there is no indication it was unjustified and some gay men having sex in a park were busted.

In any case, isn't the willingness of police to march in the Gay Pride a good sign even if there are problems? Isn't working together and having lines of communication open better than the hostility toward police extremists like #BLM are fomenting?
Excluding police from the march is as counterproductive as it is petty.

Red herring. Civilian-on-civilian crime isn't the issue that BLM is addressing and never was.

Again, you view of the "strength" of those instances is irrelevant. What is relevant is Gay Pride Toronto's view of those incidents and did Gay Pride Toronto take them into account in their decision making.

I have heard of that melaninist stuff before in a book on crank archaeology I was not aware that a significant number took it seriously. Here is another choice bit from her
