Black on black death on Ohio

We have just heard in Australia about the fool who has posted himself shooting that poor old fellow in Ohio and threatening more shootings.

Not being exactly aware here in Aus. about all the nuances of race relations in US yet aware of the large number of black murders at the hands of blacks and non-blacks I am wondering how this will be portrayed over time and the effects it will have on race relations.
Some questions and thanks in anticipation for answers
1. How is the media portrayal of this event as black on black murder as opposed to if it were white on black?
2. Why would it be portrayed different depending upon colour of shooter?
3. Is this something that the 'Blacks lives matter' crowd would get involved in?
4. If the BLM crowd do not get involved why not?
5. How much effort will be put in by the police to catch the shooter i.e. does the shooter's colour matter to the police effort?
6. If the colour of shooter does matter why does it matter? Surely murder is murder?

Usually unless there was a child involved, a society person, or a pretty young woman, they report it much like any other. Once for the incident, once they are charged, and if the trial has no drama, the conviction.

2. Why would it be portrayed different depending upon colour of shooter?

Racism. Also if the victim is a cute white woman, there will be round the clock coverage and new laws passed in her name.

3. Is this something that the 'Blacks lives matter' crowd would get involved in?

Their main beef is with abuse of police power and inherent racism.

4. If the BLM crowd do not get involved why not?

It's harder as these are often incidents and not patterns, however many of the BLM activists are involved in crime prevention programs.

5. How much effort will be put in by the police to catch the shooter i.e. does the shooter's colour matter to the police effort?

It's more of a resource issue, if your department has lots of resources you use them to procure the greatest amount of civil forfeiture monies solve cases, if not you plant evidence and force confessions only investigate the ones that political pressure requires you to and leave the rest in the cold case file.

6. If the colour of shooter does matter why does it matter? Surely murder is murder?

It shouldn't, murder is murder, but rich people have access to competent lawyers. Like O.J. Simpson.

If a missing person is an attractive white woman between the age of 16-22 and there is no reason to suspect any particular race for her disappearance then it has a possibility of making it on the news.

The same can't be said of asian, black or latina women.

However instances of young black men killing young, stable white people (even in a very sadistic manner) don't often make the national news, but is seems the reverse does make national news more often.
