Is there something wrong about this video?

When I first viewed this YouTube I was "shocked" or disturbed, or something, but I did believe it was a real incident, showing a real case of a White racist cop stopping a car to harass the Black driver. I didn't suspect it much at first but just took it as being genuine. But after reflecting on it more carefully I realized that it had to be fake, or that it's scripted, performed by actors.

Yet I was fooled by it at first, believing these were real cops on the job, and somehow there were cameras which caught the racist behavior, and probably this White racist cop later got fired for his bad behavior.

Does almost everyone recognize immediately that it's fake / scripted, or is it normal to believe it at first and only a few minutes later finally realize that it's really staged for the camera? In my case it required maybe 10 minutes later for me to conclude that it's fake. I even wondered if I might be racist for doubting it, and so I wasn't sure what to conclude. And only after 20 or 30 minutes did I become absolutely certain that it's fake.

Then I looked at the website more, and it became more clear that this and other videos there are fake. I looked for some kind of explanation that the videos are staged, and there seems to be nothing. Also, in the comments, I can't find anyone noting that these are scripted and not genuine incidents -- but I scanned only a few comments, so maybe there are some which criticize the artificiality and staging.

Even though there are such incidents of cops harassing Black drivers, are there really incidents where it's this blatant? I was dumbfounded when I watched it originally, even though I took it to be genuine and not fake. I was amazed at the "your kind" remark by the racist cop, and I have trouble believing that even a racist cop would act like this, showing his racism so transparently.

Is there something wrong with posting videos like this, where everyone seems to pretend that the videos are genuine, even though they must be fake? Is this dishonest?

There shouldn't be any censorship, but isn't it irresponsible for the producers to present these scenarios as though they are genuine incidents, which some viewers believe are real?

Also, assuming it's fake, does this suggest that there is something wrong with the producer's message -- claims of such discrimination, harassment by cops -- that this requires using deception, or fake presentations, in order to get their point across? If they have a legitimate point to make, why should it require fake posts like this in order to communicate it?

Okay, I went like five seconds into the video and clearly this isn't real. Appears you were clickbaited. Of which I was then to see what the fuss was.

FUCK! It is obviously not real, life doesn't have a music track! So not real that it can't possibly be interpreted as being really. There is even a fucking credits part including the FUCKING WRITER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!

FUCK! You wasted my time.

I noticed that, but music can easily be added to a genuine video recording. Why shouldn't the viewer believe the video and dialogue were real?

OK, I overlooked the credits. However, only the word "Actors" tells us that it's probably fake.

All news reports have writers, producers, etc., even the totally genuine ones.

The "music" can easily be added to the genuine part. Obviously there are elements added for effect, even for genuine presentations of a real event.

Are we supposed to know from the beginning that it's fake? Shouldn't there be something from the beginning to let us know that it's staged?

In fairness, nearly all incidents of Ukrainian forces destroying Russian armaments/infrastructure happen while heavy metal is in the air.

I think there is a larger question here though. How do you happen on these videos? My YouTube is filled with classic rock and yoga. I never get stuff like this. Does one have to search "racist cop"? Because you should stop doing that.

No, a more important question is: Do White cops routinely pull over Black drivers and say something like "What is your kind doing in this neighborhood?"

Maybe I'm naive to have believed this video was real, and everyone immediately recognizes that it's fake, from the first 5 seconds. But it seems the producers want the viewer to believe it's real, and probably some other naive viewers do believe it.

Are there really White racist cops similar to the one depicted in this video? That's the larger question. Maybe the only thing wrong is the exaggeration. The real racist cops out there are not as bad as this artificial character. Since this is an important social issue, my reaction to this is that the producer is being dishonest by giving viewers a false impression about the behavior of the police. Being critical of the police should not include spreading false claims about them. I think this video crosses the line in misrepresenting how police behave, even though we recognize that there is some bad behavior.

No, I was searching something you could classify as fantasy-erotic entertainment (I won't be more specific) -- nothing about police or serious issues or controversy. I often get something unrelated to what I searched for. This shows how one could come across something unexpected, and then be provoked into some spontaneous reaction that's not appropriate. Videos like this could cause wrong impressions in viewers, misleading them into believing false narratives about the society, even cause paranoia.

The camera angles right at the beginning didn't tip you off? Yeah, I always drive with a camera pointed at my steering wheel. Doesn't everyone?

If someone didn't notice the editing, multiple camera angles, the audio from a camera shot that managed to carry the voices very well, and the general warmth of the shots, the fucking credits at the end should have given away that this was a fucking sketch!

Of course, someone would need to be close to brain not to notice any of the obvious tells that this was not a live recorded event, and nor was it even attempted to be portrayed as "real".

OK, I overlooked the credits. However,
No, there is no however! Credits that include a "WRITER" implies it was scripted. End of statement.
...only the word "Actors" tells us that it's probably fake.
And "WRITER" because writers write scripts, like the one those three people played out.
All news reports have writers, producers, etc., even the totally genuine ones.
Oh for fuck sakes!
The "music" can easily be added to the genuine part.
Why are you still here?! It was fake, it wasn't real, wasn't made to be mistaken as real... you seem to get that now, but are still trying to make awful arguments as to how a scripted scene could be mistaken to be real because news programs have writers.
Are we supposed to know from the beginning that it's fake? Shouldn't there be something from the beginning to let us know that it's staged?
Five seconds into it, clearly it looked like it belonged on the Hallmark Channel!

Happens all the time. Here is an obvious instance of it happening in real life.

Naïve is such a more pretty term than I had in mind.

Yo Lumpenproletariat, You want me to use my Mob Mod powers to disappear this to Up In Flames? It's just a report button away friend. Otherwise, expect the barrage of solicited advice.

I kinda hate to pile on dude.
But yeah. You got upset about fake news and didn't bother looking at the whole thing, much less considering sources and bona fides.

No, that isn't the more important question. The big question is "Why do so many people believe fake news?" Why don't more people in my country put some effort into learning about the reality before they draw conclusions and get angry?
That's the most important question your OP brings up.

I'm pondering opening up a thread about porn and how it seems scripted and not real.

The hell you say???

LOL! That was even more obviously fake than Jussie Smollett getting recognized, punched and noosed by two rando Maga thugs at 2am in the middle of a Chicago blizzard.

What are you really driving at here? Put your cards on the table.

So both police and private citizens are now driving with a filming crews and both act as if it is not there.
