Boebart paid herself a lot of money to reimburse herself of expenses for driving. Over $20,000 worth, or roughly 1.5x times around the Earth. Please keep in mind, she represents a congressional district in Colorado, not a Senator of Texas. This I had heard of. What I hadn't heard of, was the peculiar timing of Boebart's payback of fines against her restaurant, totally just under $20,000.

So in late October, she paid over over $19,000 in fines and in early November filed that she was due $21,000 or so for mileage. Yup, drain the swamp people!
