A witness told Yahoo News that after the car came to a halt on the sidewalk, the driver attempted to flee on foot before being apprehended. Video taken by a witness and posted to Instagram shortly after the crash showed police taking a person into custody.

The world is just full of idiots that want to do idiotic things for idiot reasons.

Though, honestly, if that is the best you can do on the Streets of NYC? Granted, there may be security posts to help prevent mass casualties, been almost two decades since I've been there.

Just heard from my parents that a family friend is one of the injured. No idea how bad, his parents haven't been allowed in to see him yet.
