Cease fire violation pot

No. Israel invaded for the same reason it's done every invasion: to stop the rockets.
This isn't going to stop the rockets. It's just going to make Hamas fire more on another day.

This is no solution. It is blind brutality.

Israel doesn't want a solution. It doesn't want a unity government in Gaza.

It wants to steal more land. And if that means killing hundreds of Palestinian children now and then, so be it.

It won't stop them, it will keep the numbers down.

And Israel doesn't want a unity government because that would mean attacks from the West Bank also--like we are seeing now.

Where's the website showing every time Israel fires on some Palestinian child?

That, not to mention the fact the IDF has burnt one hell of a lot of ammunition and needs to be restocked with more than 200 million dollars worth of new ordinance, somehow conveniently already stored on site in Israel.

I am sure the kids that got murdered in the U.N. school did not fire any rockets at Israel. Derek just loves conflict and burning powder. I frankly don't understand anybody hoping things will turn out so badly as Derek seems to want. Why is that?

That's the Internet! So much musing and irresponsible comments while being comfortable and safe in the good ol' USA. Inability to place oneself in the shoes of terrorized children who cannot flee to any safe haven? Lack of recognition regarding the psychological trauma those children endure on a daily basis? They are expected to be "little adults" maybe? Children are supposed to enjoy insouciance. They are not to be expected to carry such burdens.

I wonder how many participants to this thread have ever been terrorized as a child, caught in the midst of a conflict orchestrated by adults. My memory of a fellagah (in Algeria) pointing a gun to my god mother while her body was shielding mine never left my mind. I can remember all the details. I can still hear the echo of her voice talking to him in Arabic, convincing him to spare us. For a moment, I experienced the terminal aspect of my own existence and I was just a little child.Far from my mind were dolls and teddy bears and pretty tea cups.

I grieve at the thought of those children trapped in that Gaza hell hole.
