Charles Koch responds.

I had to look up the definition of despotic and read the wiki on despotism as a double-check. No, the claim is just as ridiculous as I originally thought.

Charles Koch is crying in his beer. So much that his beer must be very salty by now. He's richer than most of the kings and emperors who had ever lived, and he has plenty of behind-the-scenes political power in which causes and politicians he decides to finance.

Calling Obama an autocratic sort of leader is pure idiocy. If you want to see what an autocrat does, look in Russia. Several Russian oligarchs (great name) got jailed for dubious corruption charges under President Putin's rule, notably Mikhail Khodorkovsky. So Charles Koch ought to ask himself why he has not been treated like Mikhail Khodorkovsky.

As I've pointed out, he's not doing anything that people like Warren Buffet and George Soros, who are even richer that he is, aren't doing. Moreover, he's not doing anything illegal. If you want to find someone who's doing illegal things you should look at the White House.

The Obama Administration has:

Selectively audited the tax returns of political opponents of Obama.
Claimed the right to kill American citizens abroad without trial or due process.
Claimed the right to detain American citizens indefinitely and without trial or due process of any sort.
Maintains a "hit list" of people to be assassinated without any trial or due process.
Spied on Americans through the NSA in violation of the law.
Intercepted communications of journalists.
Spied on members of Congress and Congressional staff including the staff members of the Intelligence Committee that is supposed to be monitoring the Administration.
Launched drone strikes against the citizens of countries with which we are not at war with reckless disregard for the lives of innocent bystanders.
Unilaterally delayed and altered legislation passed by Congress with no authority whatsoever to do so.
Smuggled high-tech weaponry to Mexican drug dealers.
Refused to bring criminal charges against Wall Street bankers who have been found guilty of fraud and money-laundering in civil suits.
Taken us to war in Libya without Congressional approval.

There's so much illegal activity by this president that I'm getting tired just thinking about it. There's more but this is the worst of it. AFAIK.

All the hallmarks of an autocrat and a despot.

It must hurt to watch Warren Buffett and George Soros be traitors to their class.

The Obama Administration has:

Selectively audited the tax returns of political opponents of Obama.
Evidence?
Claimed the right to kill American citizens abroad without trial or due process.
Claimed the right to detain American citizens indefinitely and without trial or due process of any sort.
Maintains a "hit list" of people to be assassinated without any trial or due process.
Spied on Americans through the NSA in violation of the law.

All of which the right wing considers praiseworthy when their heroes do it. It's the sort of thing that they consider commendable toughness on America's enemies and disregard for criminal-coddling "civil liberties".
Unilaterally delayed and altered legislation passed by Congress with no authority whatsoever to do so.
???
Smuggled high-tech weaponry to Mexican drug dealers.
Evidence?
Refused to bring criminal charges against Wall Street bankers who have been found guilty of fraud and money-laundering in civil suits.
But doing so would be Class Warfare, right?
Taken us to war in Libya without Congressional approval.
So what?

All the hallmarks of an autocrat and a despot.
As I'd posted, a real autocrat and despot would have sent the Koch brothers to Alaskan prison camps years ago on manufactured charges of anti-American activities.

Video: Mentally ill man can’t stop talking about the monsters under his bed

Really, really unfortunate to find the Free Beacon exploiting an insane derelict for easy page views. It’s one thing to giggle at the crazy man at the bus stop, it’s another to record him and put it on YouTube. Nor is this the first time they’ve had fun at the expense of someone with obvious brain damage. Just look what they did to poor Al Sharpton.

You’ll be tempted to bail here after 10 seconds thinking you’ve got the point and thus there’s no need to watch it all. Wrong: The point is to watch it all, to absorb the extent of this guy’s demagoguery. You know, one of the theories for why Reid’s babbling about the Kochs every day is that it’s a shot across the bow to other Republican billionaires, to warn them of what’ll happen to them if they start throwing money at libertarian/conservative causes like the Kochs do. Does that make … any sense, though? After watching this, I understand it less than ever. Given the egos that populate America’s donor class, I bet there are people who’d kill for the kind of publicity the Kochs are getting from Reid. They’d have to pay more for personal security since blather like this marginally raises the risk that they’ll be targeted by cranks, but that’s a cost they can bear. Meanwhile, donors who don’t want to be in the limelight for whatever reason can take comfort in the fact that Reid’s helped make the Kochs a lightning rod, drawing lefty attention away from lesser fatcats who can now contribute to righty groups without worry. Just doesn’t add up.

This, the leader of the Democratic Senate and the Majority Leader...what an embarrassment.
