Christian Nationalism Raises It’s Ugly Head in America

BBC European report.

In another report on NPR an interview with an American Christian nationalist preacher. Democrats are evil ad demonic. When asked if his words might spark violence he said it was not his problem.

Can't find the interview.

21% of American Generation Z members self identify as Atheist or Agnostic.

Of course what that means differs greatly amongst the respondents.

I'd be good with the USA becoming a more Christian Nation. With the caveat that it's a nation of Followers of Jesus, not all that pagan stuff added on later.

Suppose we established that what Jesus is quoted as saying was prioritized in law.

"What you do for the Least you do for me" gets applied to immigration policy concerning poor Central Americans.

"Sell your possessions, give to the poor, then follow Me"
gets applied to tax laws and the social safety net.

"Do not judge or you will be judged by the same measure"
gets applied to gay people and pregnant women.
But casual divorce is abhorrent. Don't be trashing the lives of children you brought into the world. "You banged it you bought it". Jesus was very clear on that part.

"Love your enemies" and "Turn the other cheek"
gets applied to the U.S. Dept of "Defense".

I would love to see the USA start following Jesus. What He is actually quoted as teaching in the Gospels.

Unfortunately for God's Children some pagans took over around 1500 years ago. Now we've got Creflo Dollar, Trump, and the Vatican.

Another interesting article that makes the point that we need to be more concerned with those who try to hide the label, but are working for the establishment of a Christian nation.
