Chronicles in socialist success stories: Poll: most voters say they're open to a political revolution to redistribute wealth

The World needs a revolutionary new economic system. A new way of doing business. The way we do business now, our neoclassical economic model, is broken. Broken beyond repair.

Yes, this record level of prosperity, elimination of absolute poverty in the world being within sight, longest life expectancy in the history of the human species, and generally high quality of life compared to any other period in the history of the human species, and period of record low global violent conflict sure does need to be fixed.

Privileged leftists don't seem to have any perspective on what an actual broken system looks like, which is strange because the corpses of actual broken societies are littered throughout all of human history.

Elimination of absolute poverty? When did this happen? Or does the catch lie in the word 'absolute?'

Nor do the obvious gains and benefits that developed countries have experienced in past decades (after WW2, baby boomers, etc) mean that our way of doing business remains sustainable.

Conveniently ignoring our numerous economic failures. Yes, failures. One can make an excellent case for one's pet beliefs by ignoring counterevidence, and that's evidently what is happening here.

Lots of certified right-wingers also object to the way that our economic system works. Are you willing to take them seriously since they are obviously on your side?

Does that also mean that the economic elite has totally failed in buying itself any sort of social privilege? Yes, Charles and David Koch are so devoid of social privilege that they inherited their father's business. Also, George W. Bush was so devoid of social privilege that he got away with being ne'er-do-well for the first 40 years of his life, and had a much more successful career afterwards. The same can be said of such underprivileged people as the Kennedys and Chelsea Clinton.
