A busy day for SCOTUS. In one case, the Supreme Court has opened the sluice gates to churches receiving government funding. Churches, which do not pay taxes, can now apply for grants and funding. The question probably opens up now as to what the basis for refusal of funding can be. Organizations usually have to follow through with rights given to workers with their organization. But religious groups usually don't have to abide by those rules, but because they didn't receive government handouts, it wasn't an issue.

I think this just opens another can of worms. Where is the line with churches and religious groups receiving money, if they aren't taxed, but violate state or federal laws?

be careful what you wish for religious right, you might just get it. This gets even better if we really do end up with a democratic congress/senate.

Now, if they can just repeal the Johnson amendment, the money can flow back into the Republican coffers. The Republicans can give themselves all the money they want.
