Clownocalypse in Florida on Halloween?

Apparently, due to the faux clown threat, a number of people in Florida will walk around armed with guns, bats, knives, whatever else they can find.

That in combination with Stand Your Ground laws sounds like a recipe for risk of scores of deaths. I mean, people answering the door can be armed, trick or treaters parents can be armed. Of course, clowns can be armed, too. So you see a dangerous vampire with a gun...is he standing his ground or are you? How's this going to end?

Authorities in Germany have warned that anyone dressing as a “killer clown” to frighten people risks a year in prison as the craze spreads to the country.
Police arrested a man over the weekend after he terrified passengers by roaming a train wearing a clown mask and carrying a knife.
A few days earlier a teenager was left with injuries after he was attacked with a baseball bat by a man dressed as a clown.
