Yay. The (R)reptiles gained a little in the Senate, but now all the investigatory committees in the House will be headed by Democrats and they can subpoena the IRS for the Shitgibbon's taxes.

This is a victory, but it also marks the most enormous challenges the institutions of our government will have faced since... Nixon is nothing compared to Trump. You'd have to go back a long way.

Let's hope it works out.

Edited to Add: it looks like the Dems also gained 5 governor's seats. They flipped (!) New Mexico, Illinois, Michigan, and even motherfucking Kansas!

Seven governor's seats. Illinois, Kansas (!), Michigan, New Mexico, Maine, Wisconsin (eff you, Scott Walker!), and Nevada (first time going blue since 1994).

Alaska switched from Independent to Red.
