Kai Schwemmer, the newly appointed College Republicans of America political director, has made racist, antisemitic, homophobic and sexist statements while espousing extremist rightwing views on abortion, a Guardian review of livestream recordings can reveal.

Schwemmer said he would accept a world in which slavery was legal if abortion was criminalised, describes himself as “very much an anti-universal suffrage guy” and accepts a supporter’s description of him as “our Mormon Nick Fuentes” – referring to the white nationalist influencer whose platform he streamed on for years.

...

...he claims gay men are “weaponizing” gyms “to give you Aids” and celebrates a DNA test he says proved “I’m 0% Jewish”.

...“Do you believe married women have the right to vote? What about single women?”

Schwemmer responded: “I believe they currently have the right to vote. But I’m in favor of probably like a family voting thing. I think that’d probably be a better way to do it.”

“Family voting” is a Christian nationalist proposal to restrict the franchise to male heads of households, who would act as political representatives of their wives and children.

“I’m very much an anti-universal suffrage guy,” Schwemmer added. “I don’t think there’s a good defense for allowing people to vote who don’t take the time to return shopping carts. I think that’s a huge issue. Allowing those people the same leverage in your electoral system as a homeowner. That’s crazy to me.”

You can always find anecdotes of racists. Just, this is a director, people approved of his hiring and many people followed him on streaming and still do...

Yeah, but as Dr. Zoid has confidently proclaimed in another thread, all that racist and misogynist stuff is a thing of the past.

Wait -- are you saying that a hard right pol has made racist, homophobic, sexist remarks? Can't be! I demand proof! This is pure woke hate speech!! I feel like I've entered the Bizarro world, this can't be true. I don't think we're in Kansas anymore.
On second thought, yes, we're in fucking Kansas.

Yeah, but as Dr. Zoid has confidently proclaimed in another thread, all that racist and misogynist stuff is a thing of the past.
You are taking him out of context. He was speaking specifically against Toni's claim that Hillary and Kamala failed because of sexism and in the latter's case also racism. I do not see Kai voting for Biden or Newsom or some other white male Democrat either.

A lot of Neo-Nazis voted 3rd party traditionally but they've endorsed Hair Furor time and time again. So, that changes the dynamic.

I am not taking him out of context. Read what he wrote.

For context, the woman in the poster is Shiloh Hendrix formerly of Rochester Mn, who was one trial for two counts of disorderly conduct: one for shouting a racial epithet at a black child who had taken a container of apple sauce out of a bag at a park and the other for the person who had the audacity to film her behavior in accosting the child and retrieving the apple sauce. The jury found her not guilty on the count with the child but guilty on the other count.

The headliner for that rally in support of Ms Hendrix  Jake_Lang is a convicted Jan. 6 insurrectionist pardoned by President Trump. Since his pardon, he's been arrested numerous times,

Minneapolis

On January 17, 2026, a week after Renée Good was killed by ICE Agent Jonathan Ross,[14] Lang attempted to lead a "March Against Minnesota Fraud" in which he vowed to burn a Quran and march to Cedar-Riverside, a neighborhood with a large Somali-American population.[15] He and his small group of supporters were surrounded by hundreds of counter-demonstrators. Lang was shielded by a local Black man[15] and was able to escape. Bloodied, Lang was helped by two Black women by car at a red light. When they asked who he was, he refused to tell them or explain what was going on, only that Trump had saved his life. After a few blocks, they told Lang to get out. He gave them his number promising to pay for the damage to their car by counter-demonstrators but he never followed up.[15] Lang abandoned his plans for the march and alleged he was stabbed and attacked by counter-protesters but never filed a police report.[16]

Lang was later arrested after recording himself vandalizing a $6,000 anti-ICE sculpture at the Minnesota State Capitol.[17] He was arrested and jailed on suspicion of criminal damage to property, a felony.[18] He later plead not guilty.[17] The ice sculpture had been commissioned and installed by the veterans organization Common Defense, whose communications director, Jacob Thomas, stated: "I gave eight years of my life in service to this country in the military. For an insurrectionist to destroy our display is an attack on the First Amendment veterans like me fought to defend."[19] The trial is being presided over by Ramsey County District Judge Veena Iyer, whom Lang made sexist and racist comments about: "It was completely jarring to have a Black, Indian woman be my judge. I felt literally held captive in another country. I felt like I was walking into a courtroom in Mogadishu." Lang's trial is set for July 27; he could face a maximum sentence of five years in prison and $10,000 in fines.[17]

May 2026

At a bond hearing for Dalton Eatherly, known online as "Chud the Builder," Lang was arrested and taken into custody after disrupting courtroom proceedings.[22]

June 2026

On June 2, 2026, Lang was arrested in Frisco, Texas and charged with criminal trespass in April 2025 at David Kuykendall Stadium, site of the murder of Austin Metcalf.[23] He was released June 3 on a $7,500 bond.[24]

On June 9, Lang was arrested in Dallas County, Texas for making a terroristic threat related to the same murder trial. Lang's bond was initially set at $1 million before being reduced to $250,000.[24][25][26] He was released on bond on June 23 with a condition that he was barred from entering the State of Texas except for legal reasons.[26]
