Congress releases secret '28 pages' on alleged Saudi 9/11 ties

Washington (CNN)A long-classified U.S. report released Friday found that some of the 9/11 hijackers were in contact with and received support from individuals likely connected to the Saudi government.

Known as the "28 pages," the secret document was part of a 2002 Congressional Joint Inquiry into the Sept. 11 attacks and has been classified since the report's completion, despite repeated calls for its release. The document, which the administration finally delivered to Congress earlier Friday, actually contains 29 pages of material, plus a letter from then-CIA Director George Tenet.
"While in the United States, some of the September 11 hijackers were in contact with, and received support or assistance from, individuals who may be connected to the Saudi Government," the document says.

The report

Well? It's been 14 years. Have they nailed down whether or not the hijackers were within two or three degrees of separation from the Saudi government?

And if so, were the individuals the individuals talked to acting FOR the government or acting on their own interests which were discrete from the actual government's interests?

Or should we just go to war right now for something kinda maybe?

Be careful with the word, "war." It's been thrown around in quite unusual ways lately. For some, we should not have our government declare war and mobilize the military in a war effort to combat a foreign country needlessly.

Then there may be others that will inform us of our ignorance of the curiously purported fact that we are actually already at war against whatever it is that we're said to be at war with.

Statements such as the following are meaningless and misleading unless a clear confirmation is required, though I would not be surprised if there was at least some collusion in Saudi Arabia, even if not from a government source:

"While in the United States, some of the September 11 hijackers were in contact with, and received support or assistance from, individuals who may be connected to the Saudi Government," the document says.

... connected to the Saudi Government...

This is also pretty meaningless without showing the specific people and significance of relationships. For example, did the govt use a secret fund or agenda to push terrorism...Maybe it's in the report somewhere...though...idk.

It seems to me that all it shows is that there are some terrorist supporters in the Saudi government. This isn't exactly a surprise.

This may be very true, but speculative drivel such as may have only raises more questions but no answers. A court of law will not convict someone on the basis he may have committed a crime.
