Don't be a dick.
Obama said he thinks he could win a third term as POTUS if it were allowed.

Personally, compared to the clown bus the Republicans are running and the lack-luster support for Hillary, I think a win for Obama would be a walk in the park.

What do you all think?

I think he would win easily against Hillary.

Bernie might give him a run for his money, though.

Against this bunch?

Yes.

Hell, I'm thinking about running my neighbor's cat for President. She's 14, crippled and blind in one eye, and she is still a better choice than the riders in the clown car.

Remember, clown bus. A clown car could not hold all those assholes.

I think President Obama is delusional if he thinks he would win a 3rd term.

So whom do you think could beat him?
I think the US public is tired of Obama. And I think he has lost significant support among Democrats. I voted for him twice, but the 2nd time I was very reluctant. I think Kasich would beat him.

That is true to a certain extent. The question is, whether that fatigue is greater than the lack of enthusiasm for his likely opponents both in the primaries and the general.

I think Kasich would beat him.
I think he could too. Could he win the nomination though?

Slick Willie!
True. Repeal of the 22nd Amendment would open the door to 3rd Clinton term. Why bother with New Clinton when you can have Clinton Classic? :)

Ya, sequels rarely measure up to the original. For instance, the second Bush one was pretty much just a Michael Bay production with lots of explosions and no substance.

However, every now and again you do get a Godfather II or an Empire Strikes Back, so you never know.

Speaking of second Bush and the repeal of the 22nd Amendment, doesn't he outpoll Obama these days too?

I don't think that even Americans would be pathetic enough to reelect the Shrub again.

Bush II also had twice the runtime which necessitated long fillers like the tedious Terri Schiavo scene which introduced a possible third installment.

Indeed. But the previews are not encouraging,

Kasich is definitely one of the few more level headed Republicans, meaning he could never get the nomination from the party.

Most likely. But we can always hope.

I think it would be very likely that if Obama could and did run for a 3rd term, that a sufficient number of disaffected former supporters would stay away from the polls, thereby letting a Republican into the White House.
