WASHINGTON DC - - Citing unreliable test results and dismayed by the criticism leveled at his administration by the media, President Donald Trump has ordered re-testing of all patients who have reportedly succumbed to COVID-19. "We know that there are false positives involved, and it's not good. I have appointed my top Doctor, Ben Carson to oversee the process of re-testing those patients because we don't like the numbers ... it's unacceptable, and we're doing something about it."
This decisive action was heralded as a true act of leadership by his Republican supporters. Vice President Mike Pence told Reuters yesterday "We know those numbers are artificially inflated by Democrat test methods and we expect the mortality numbers to be much lower once we have re-tested all of these cases."
