The Lourdes volunteers website notes that group pilgrimages are still cancelled (the main Lourdes sites were closed down entirely last year for two months.) They offer a Virtual Pilgrimage Experience TM (the trademark is actually there, it isn't my snark.) The town of Lourdes, which is full of merchants who sell pious goods and tchotchkes, has seen its tourist dollar count drop by 80%. Truly time to pray.
So, I gather by this that you can't by faith get out of your wheelchair, bathe in the spring water, have faithful Mathilde or Babette in the next bath cough on you, and then pray your way out of their infected droplets. Moderna over Madonna every time. (That's my snark right there.)

It's a good snark and certainly an accurate snark. I guess the lesson is unchanged: When it clearly doesn't work it's a test. When it does appear to work it's a miracle.

Why are you being snarky at people who are doing the right thing? Wouldn't your ire be better placed if aimed at those who defy precautions and get people sick?

Ummmmm....a place of miraculous healing. Shut down. Because of...oh forget it.

If it's a place of healing, then you should avoid getting people sick when you're there. Christianity is not solely composed of miracle tent preachers who think only miraculous solutions to human problems should ever be tried. God gave us brains for a reason, and moreover charged us to be responsible for our neighbors' wellbeing.
