Sadly, this is hardly the first time that this jerk has played the Putin stooge, and even pushed the Pentagon for 'answers'.

Rumours spread over the internet, now revealed as apparently fuelled by Russian bots, or fake social media accounts controlled by individuals or software applications. These were not discouraged by high-profile figures including Ted Cruz, the US senator, who said he understood “the reason for concern and uncertainty”, and the actor Chuck Norris, who described it as “likely more than a military exercise”.

Though Texan Rep Louie Gohmert acted even more irresponsibly over the Jade Helm 15 joke...and he might have even believed it.

Look, can we we just take a minute to give some props to the Russian intelligence services? This whole thing was the best work ever.

It's kind of sad that they aren't going to get paid anything extra for an excellent job done because Putin and his oligarch cronies stole all the money the government could have used for that in order to build a few more villas for their mistresses.

Certainly. Props are due - but with the caveat that making Trump look like a feeble idiot is no herculean feat.

Maybe Cheato can sign over the deed to that island he inherited from Jeffrey?

Elixir and his obsession with Putin strike again

Ah, Putin's butt-kisser leaves no complaint unspoken when his boss is impugned... :hysterical:

Oh, but Obama DID declare martial law, and called in the Kenya National Guard to destroy US Customs and Border Protection! That's what bankrupted the economy in 2015! It's a good thing they locked Hillary up and appointed Trump as our King, or we'd all be worshiping Allah today. Long live the King! (In the most American of ways of course.)

Y'all need to get your my facts straight!

It is going to be interesting, the autopsy regarding this whole mess. Infowars was at the Intelligence Committee protesting the hearing, before the guy was removed. Infowars and Alex Jones used to be the apolitical paranoid fringe. Propagators of most ridiculous of theories from 9/11 CT's to fluoride in the water to presumably Jade Helm. They have aligned with the Trump Admin in lock step now. Trump, himself, is apolitical. He joined the alt-right out of convenience and promotion. And now this leaderless movement has the White House and there are people out there upset at Fox News for not being biased enough! How much is Russia, how much is paranoia, how much is racism, how much is it things were too good for too long and people went out their mind wanting to bitch and moan about something? How much is social media, bots, etc... shifting opinion?

What bothers me most is that this is a leaderless movement. It is alt-right angst and it is a monster and no one can control it.

That is a curious assertion, given that we know where the bulk of the conspiracy theories originate, who is stoking the coals of division and discontent in the US, and who is acting under the direction of that source.

I'd say that for Putin to be ultimately behind PrisonPlanet and InfoWars would imply a James Bond level villain. AM Radio and the likes of Limbaugh were part of a cottage industry that continued to blossom in America. That wasn't Putin either. It seems like we've been heading this direction since Nixon. It could also explain why the Republicans have elected only one competent President in nearly 40 years.

Americans led Americans down this road. It is likely Putin was able to maneuver things here and there in 2016 and then helped Trump pull off the unbelievable in November on Election Day... though again with help from Giuliani's pals in the FBI releasing rumors about the Clinton Foundation indictments, that never existed. But Putin was playing with game pieces that Americans created. And thanks to social media, it is quite possible to be willfully ignorant in the Information Age. Economy under Obama was awful, under Trump it has never been better.

That's a good observation.

Yup. He has been riding the wave, he didn't create it. But he IS the source of much of the froth associated with it.

All the above only confirms my theory that Republicans now use a priority test for nominating a presidential candidate. Conservatives have modified the mission of " American Enterprise Institute" as follows:

AEI's stated mission is "to defend the principles and improve the institutions of American private enterprise, and subservient individual liberty and responsibility, and foreign policies, giving political power to Vladimir Putin, and stifle debate as demanded by Donald Trump"
