Does the inverse square law eventually fail?

Dude, I have PhD in physics (particle physics) :)
You are talking nonsense.

Sorry, I have been around enough to not equate academic laurels with competency or comprehension. Authority by academic credentials gets you nowhere with me... Anybody who wants to spend the time and money can get a PHD somewhere. It never interested me.

Exactly. This is how I know for certain that Global Warming is a hoax. My Certainty trumps the wishy washy nature of Science and all its "theories".
Plus you had Uncle Sam the engineer.

I expect global warming simulations use some form of Finite Element Analysis, same with weather forecasting.....same old math.

Given an object with mass and radious of the Sun with a sphere shell around it.

mo mass of large object
rm radius of large mass
dms mass density of shell
rs radius of shell from center of large mass

At a given radius and thickness of the shell what is total force exerted on the shell in Newton's? I asked this question on the Dyson Spheres thread.

As ds on the inner shell surface gets small what is the normal force on that point of the sphere?

I'd say undergrad multivariable calculus should be sufficient.

Of course....on climate change using thermodynamics what general equation would you have to satisfy deterring heat in and heat out of a small volume dxdydz in the atmosphere or ocean?

The heat equation is a form that appears in many areas with different names for different applications. Poisson's Equation shows up in many places. Calculus, differential equations, multivariable calculus are the main undergrad classes.

I am not a mathematician and rarely directly solved any of it. In general it gets too complicated. It is usually sooled numerically.

In the heat equation setting it to 0 is a statement of conservation of energy.

If you want to know what all those triangle thingies mean.

So, it is all the sane math. GR requires tensors which I have not taken the time to learn, but tensors also appear in different areas.
