Does the political correctness on the left over-reach, turning people people off and causing them seek out opinions on the far right?

Well, conquer Texas and implement that. It'll be your right to do so. As it is, the US government holds ownership of Texas and so they get to decide the rules for coming in.

Like talking to a wall.

Of course they have the power.

I am only talking about what is right, not what I am planning to do tomorrow.

No, that's not right. We don't want a bunch of Americans just wandering around up here all willy-nilly. You're violent and you have a lot of guns, so border control is necessary. It's the same thing for the US. They should have the ability to screen travellers and control who is able to come into their country.

If I want to go to Ireland and visit my ancestral homeland, I'm quite able to do so but I need to stop at the border and let the Irish authorities know that I'm there. If they have a valid reason to stop me at the border, they have the ability and authority to do so. Similarly, if a Mexican wants to go and visit hi anccestral homeland in Texas, he has the ability to do so, but he needs to stop at the border and let the US authorities know that he's there and if they have a valid reason to stop him, they should have the ability and authority to do it before someone they don't want in their territory enters their territory.

Untermensche, should the descendants of the native Americans that used to live where you do now be able to walk in your front door whenever they feel like it?

The tax paying citizens of a nation collectively own the public infrastructure and natural resources that pay to protect and maintain. The same logic that makes it silly to deny rights of private property owners control over who comes in their house and what they do while visiting, applies to which non-citizens of a nation come into that nation.

The idea of nation state is a modern religion.

The most popular religion in the world.

Ya, we should just leave everything to corporations without having anything of similar size and power to be able to act as a counter to their power. That will solve everything.

Now to answer the the actual question:

Does the political correctness on the left over-reach, turning people people off and causing them seek out opinions on the far right?

The answer is "no". Political correctness has nothing to do with this trend. It has to do with the loss of of earning power of middle class non-educated white males and the issues surrounding our current economic trends.

So, does anyone here support reparations for slavery?

If so, do you support ceding Texas and California back to Mexico?

If there was some kind of reliable indicator that reparations (presumably in the form of cash payment) would somehow cure the ills of the past with respect to slavery, then I would be for it. But it wouldn't fix anything.

As for ceding back Texas and California, of course not. Even a good alternative fiction writer would have a difficult time of coming up with a world where that could happen.

That and it just makes some people feel better about themselves if they can look down on other people.

I don't know about that. California can stay, but Texas thinks Moses somehow wrote the constitution and that black folk came to these shores under some kind of guest worker program. The only problem there is I don't think Mexico necessarily wants THAT kind of Texas.

There is a correlation between the strength of nations and the strength of the corporations they prop up.

Ya, but you want to eliminate any possible counterbalancing force which could possibly work to limit them. How does one deal with corporations which act badly without nations to hold them to account?

If nations are weaker than the corporations they support will be weaker.

A strong government shields corporations, it doesn't keep them in line.

Take away the shield and they are more vulnerable and easy to control.

Based on what?

...

No, I'm NOT asking you to think of a post-hoc rationalization for your stream-of-thought assertion and I'm not asking you what idea lead you to make this conclusion. You have just made a PREDICTION, which means you must be familiar with similar situations occurring in the recent past. Can you share some of those examples, and can you show us how you know those examples are universal truths and not circumstantial occurrences?

Control how? Without an entity of similar or greater power to keep them in line, what is the method which would be used to control them?

As a quick example, a company is dumping factory waste into rivers because it's cheaper than paying to clean or store it. Absent an entity like the EPA backed up by the regulatory authority of a nation state, how are the actions of this company controlled to stop them from doing this?
