Dutch city of Utrecht to experiment with a universal, unconditional "basic income"

I'm dutch as well and following this experiment too :)

In my opinion UBI is inevitable as there aren't simply enough jobs in the world for everyone and the population keeps growing, while at the same time robotization keeps away taking jobs. Maybe not now, but in 2100. Better to start experiment early and work out all the kinks.

There will be three groups:

1) Group A will get the stipend with no strings attached,
2) Group B will get the stipend with strings attached, and
3) Group C will continue under current rules.

What do you guys think will happen?
Going by previous experiments : a few will piss it away, most will not be significantly less inclined to work (maybe less inclined to do crap like telesales for peanuts - good) and quite a few will invest in skills and businesses. More kids will get good meals and help with homework from parents who row less.

It won't tell us how a society in which it's the only source of income for most could work. But might point us towards a workable alternative where we ration the remaining work.
