Change of pace from the current political disasters.

A few time the subject of Redlining has come up, and how it was used to undermine minority communities, while apologists insist that either didn't exist or has nothing to do with poverty rates among minorities. Well, seems that even when they build a thriving community it can just get destroyed. In recent years more people have learned about Tulsa, but that is not the only one. This clip talks about other communities that have been erased, some of which are now at the bottom of lakes.

Banks would draw a “redline” around communities that had older homes. They wouldn’t work in those communities. It was discovered later that these communities had more to be more minorities there rather than newer homes, hence the disparate bias. Regardless, do you think that King Trump will hear this call and seek to correct this past injustice???!! I think that we’d have better odds if we asked Santa Clause to help!! There won’t be any kind of wealth tax coming! In fact, if anything it will get worse…

Not certain how much worse it can get. 40 plus years post Reagan's first election and we see private equity buying lots of stuff up. Properties, utilities, companies. Tax policy has allowed these groups to generate plenty of wealth that they are now able to pluck away assets with no problem.

Well, certainly DEI and reparations are done. Finito. Bank regulations will be loosened. I’m sure more to come…

I don't think DEI is as dead as advertised. I was thinking over the weekend about how engrained DEI actually is in some areas of industry. It isn't at a high point, but it is there and in larger ways that some appreciate, which is good because that is what will likely help it continue.

The GOP could target some of these things, but it could really complicate how work gets done.

I tend to agree with Belle. DEI is generally good for business, so companies may 'cancel' DEI to keep the MAGAts off their back, and just continue it under another name.
