Trying to communicate better with my book club. Thinking that one of those places where you sign up for a group e-mail would be really helpful. Anyone have a favorite provider?
That would be any system that had divisions in routing which you consider appropriate for effective communication and storage. IOW any national or international e-mail system that offers free cloud services.
The two student clubs I advise use a service called GroupMe, which sends messages to people's phones, more like a chatroom-type setup. In an age where fewer and fewer people check e-mails regularly but everyone has a phone, we have found it to be a very useful tool for coordination. In the department, we've been talking about using it on our summer field studies program for the same reason.
