I'm curious though, if he was diagnosed with cancer in 2004, why did he think it was ok to run for president in 2008?

Er, excuse me, but I am pretty sure that lots of people's lives (Including Fred Thompson's) DO end, just because they have cancer.

That's pretty much why cancer is considered to be quite a big deal.
