Gaza "beach" -- what really happened

Ok, making different moves.

- - - Updated - - -

What hasn't been pointed out here is that there are over 1.5 million Arabs living in Israel proper. These Arabs have many more rights

Many more rights? Or equal rights?

I think he's comparing their rights to the rights they would have in other lands rather than the rights of Jews in Israel.

And they have slightly more rights than the Jews in Israel--they have the right not to serve in the military, something the Jews don't.
You are talking about the Orthodox Jews? They are merely being kept away from weapons. Within the last two years there has been at least one major dislocation of Arabs in Israel "proper" where a Berber village in southern Israel was leveled for new development. I wonder why you and Angelo feel that it is necessary that there be a JEWISH GOVERNMENT anywhere at all in the world.
If this is not the most bigoted post I've ever seen, it rates right up there with the worst I've ever seen!!

Why? Do you support theocracy? Do you feel that all appeals for secular government are bigotry?
The Israeli government is a theocracy is it?
If it is a "JEWISH GOVERNMENT", then by definition, yes it is.

Obviously.
Why don't you guys just admit that you don't like Jews and be done with it? That you couldn't give a hoot if the only Jewish state and its inhabitants were to be destroyed!
Why don't you stop hurling unfounded nonsense about, and try reading what people post, and responding to it calmly and rationally?

All this irrational hyperbole is doing your cause no good at all, and can't be doing much for your blood pressure either.

I don't have any particular liking or disliking for any religion; they are all stupid, and I would be happiest if there were no states anywhere that were defined by religion. Of course, Jewishness is not only a religious designation, but is also sometimes used as a racial designation instead. But then, I don't have any particular liking or disliking for any race, and I would be happiest if there were no states anywhere that were defined by race. So whichever way you look at it, I would be completely unconcerned if all Jewish, Islamic, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh, or Shinto states were to be destroyed.

As to their inhabitants, the destruction of any one of them - regardless of religion or lack thereof - is a tragedy. And that tragedy is equal for all religions. The life of a human has the same value, whether that human is Israeli, Egyptian, Russian or French; and whether he is Jewish, Muslim, Sikh or atheist.

This whole "If you are not rabidly supporting us, then you are inhuman scum" schtick is getting very old, very fast. Everyone, on all sides needs to stop it. Particularly you.

Sorry but I'm a defender of victims of 21st century Nazis, namely Islam!

No, you are an ill-informed ranter on an internet discussion board. You defend nobody from anybody by making baseless accusations like "Why don't you guys just admit that you don't like Jews and be done with it?".

You defend nobody; You protect nobody; Instead you accuse almost a quarter of the world's population of being '21st century Nazis'. How, exactly, do you imagine that this helps anyone?

I have no problem with Jews - despite your baseless accusation to the contrary. But I have a BIG problem with your piss-poor excuse for dialogue. Your hyperbolic tribalistic rants do nobody any good, and you really need to try to grasp that fact. Painting yourself as some kind of warrior for the greater good, while actually just lashing out at anyone who fails to whole-heartedly agree with you, renders you indistinguishable from the extremist elements you claim to abhor.

The problems in Gaza are not the fault of Jews, or of Muslims; They are the fault of extremists and one-eyed political commentators. If you want to know what kind of person is preventing a peace from being brokered, buy a mirror.

A pox on both your houses.
