Brian Kemp, Georgia Secretary of State and the Republican nominee for Georgia governor, expressed at a ticketed campaign event that his Democratic opponent Stacey Abrams’ voter turnout operation “continues to concern us, especially if everybody uses and exercises their right to vote,” according to audio obtained by Rolling Stone.

An attendee of the “Georgia Professionals for Kemp” event says they recorded 21 minutes and 12 seconds of the evening, held last Friday at the Blind Pig Parlour Bar near Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood. As proof of their attendance, the source shared with Rolling Stone a receipt of their donation, which granted access to the gathering.

He must really have his panties in a wad today because yesterday a federal judge ruled against him. He directed poll workers not to count absentee ballots that had signatures that didn't match up exactly with signatures on file. This was done without notifying the voters who's ballots weren't counted. The judge said that these voters must be notified and as long as they have the correct ID, they can vote in person. I don't have a link because I read it in the AJC paper edition. I'll see if I can find one.

There are several other lawsuits that haven't been settled yet, regarding Kemp's attempts to suppress the vote. I've never seen anything like this before.

I'm still randomly asking black folks, since more than 95% of them in Ga. are Democrats, if they've voted and so far, just about everyone I've asked has or says they will. However if this election is very close and neither candidate gets at least 50%, Georgia's law requires a run off. Democrats don't turn out in high numbers when there is a run off election. I just hope if it comes to that, Democrats will be angry enough to vote in the run off.

Well, even if the Dem guy wins, there won't be any investigation into or consequences for all of this voter suppression, so there's really no reason for him not to do it ... aside from morality and decency and all that other irrelevant garbage.
