Germany and healthcare

I asked a gentleman in the healthcare field if he thought we would ever have true universal health care in the USA . He said he hoped not because he had relatives in Germany who tell him the system over there tells people to just die if they become diabetic like him.

I am inclined to believe this is not true. is my incliniation wrong?😉
I do not trust UHC systems on the expensive stuff, nor on the quality of life stuff. But diabetes is neither. (Although the complications down the road can be.) I find the notion that they tell diabetics to go die bonkers.
You trust health care for profit then?

I asked a gentleman in the healthcare field
in which country?

You know why they call Camel camel don't you?

Because if you smoke it long enough you will get a cancer tumor the size of a camel hump in you.

I knew lots of doctors who smoked. Some developed that cancer camel hump.

That's pretty evil, even for tobacco business.

And in Australia's hybrid system...
BBC Article: Australia's universal healthcare is crumbling. Can it be saved?
Yeah, with a sausage tax. Tax unhealthy food as all nations should and use it to help pay for healthcare. Then those with unhealthy lifestyles get hit twice, first when they put the godawful crap into their body and then when the have get the disease removed from it.
They keep harping about not having enough for the cure when the answer is in prevention.

I wouldn't trust a Tory source like the BBC. It is an opinion article, not a neutral article.

There are long wait times in most UHC systems, but not for anything time critical.
With so much talk about skin cancer - every time I try to make an appointment with a dermatologist in Kansas, there is about a 3 month wait. NObody seems to say anything about that, but when it seems like calls for early detection, they'd want you to have it looked at ASAP.
