I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Most people seem to have this ridiculous binary view of racism. Either you're completely not racist, or you walk around in a KKK hood lynching random strangers, with nothing in between. Racism doesn't work like that.
I consider myself a person with very little racism, but I still catch myself thinking things that make me cringe.
If you just assume that you are not racist at all, then you are not monitoring your own thoughts, and for all you know, you could be like the relatives of the man who wrote this article, all of whom insist that they aren't racist.
