I'm getting pretty pissed of that when the news mentions the Asshole in Chief's bluster about Greenland and how he is not taking military force off the table, that the Press almost never points out that Greenland is Part of NATO and military force against Greenland would require that NATO defend Greenland.

Where the hell is the press on this? Where the hell did the Trump administration flush their brains?

70 year old treaty with Denmark allows the US to establish more defense bases on Greenland whenever it wants to. So national security can't be a reason for Trump's idiocy.

Surely trade treaties would get what minerals can be mined.

The reason is simply that Greenland has resources Russia wants. It's the same shit that was going on with the Ukraine mineral deal, Russia just wants Trump to exploit more countries for them.
