Guns Send over 8,000 US Kids to ER Each Year, Analysis Says

The evidence mounts...guns have to go....
Go where exactly?

And about the Snopes article, it was very brief and short on detail, but it seems they lumped everybody under 18 together. How many of those 8k are older teenagers who are in gangs, committing violent crimes etc. Hell, even some younger teenagers, like Adam Toledo, are in that life. And even some preteens like these three in Atlanta.

No matter how much you enjoy seeing poor kids fight over drug money, the facts are the same: if nobody has guns, nobody needs guns.
If nobody else has guns, then a guy who acquires one is that much more powerful. It would be like only one country having nuclear weapons. I do not see how it follows that "nobody needs guns" if nobody (else) has guns. Quite the contrary. If you are reasonably safe that the guy you plan to rob or assault is not armed, then your own gun ensures force supremacy. If you can't be sure your would-be victim is armed, then you might want to think twice before the stickup.
Like the case of Darius Smith in California. He, all of 15, together with other teens of similar age decided to rob a guy with a replica pistol. Unfortunately for them, and fortunately for the would be victim, he was a USCBP agent with a gun and he shot Darius (not the Mede) and one of his accomplices in self defense. Darius died, the other guy survived.
If law-abiding citizens were forbidden from being armed, they would be sitting ducks for the Darius Smiths of the world.

These are kids, who don't understand violence or anger or themselves or humans in general.
Bullshit, they are old enough to know better. They just don't care.

They are hopped up on hormones that they haven't been alive long enough to understand. So yeah, they are the most tragic kinds of gun deaths.
No, they are not the "most tragic deaths". The actual kids who get killed in crossfire, like Secoriea Turner, 8, in Atlanta, or Jaslyn Adams, 7, in Chicago and similar cases.
The teenagers joining gangs and it not turning well for them are not nearly as tragic. Even Jesus knew - live by the sword, die by the sword.

The guns gangs use COME FROM SOMEWHERE, too. It's not like every young blood out there is born kicking and screaming into the world with a fresh piece in their hand. Generally, they come from theft from legal owners, or diversion from the legal gun trade.

I am all for sensible gun laws. But the fact remains that talking about kids killed or injured by guns is highly misleading and disingenuous when the majority of those "kids" are teenage gang bangers.

Just because the kids being shot are poor, have few legal economic opportunities, and the opportunities they do have force them to resolve problems with violence because some asshole arbitrarily decided drugs should be illegal, doesn't mean we shouldn't care. It means that we should care MORE

How he gonna get his money all over again?

I hope you're right, but with guns, I think the trend is dumber & dumber. As recently as the 90s, the Right was willing to go along with assault weapon bans.
The assault weapon ban was merely window dressing. It banned some rifles because of how they looked and because of accessories like the "shoulder thing that goes up" while rifles of same caliber and power were left alone because they looked like non-assaulty hunting rifles.

Speaking of dumb and dumber, some of our politicians also believe that AR-15 weigh as much as 10 moving boxes (!) and shoot .50 caliber rounds instead of the 5.56mm ones.

Also, vast majority of gun crimes are committed with handguns, not rifles.

Now, and with our present ultra-ultra-right SCOTUS, they want any/every weapon this side of shoulder-held missile launchers to be sold at WalMart.
[citation needed] that current SCOTUS wants to declare say laws against automatic pistols and rifles unconstitutional.

Sanity would tell you that some arms should be military use only. If they're meant to spray out a hail of bullets on one pull of a trigger, we're insane to make those household commodities.
Automatic weapons are already banned. You can't go down to Walmart and buy a Tommy gun.

Guns: Half as deadly to children as glass tables:

Where's the demand for mandating tempered glass in tables?

I get all my fair and unbiased facts about guns from ammoland.com

I knew about the study result but I didn't have a link. That's the first place I found the data. It's simply a matter of putting the numbers in perspective. And note that mandating tempered glass doesn't in any way impair the use of glass tables.

And now that I am behind a keyboard and not two thumbing on my phone, I can give a more detailed explanation as to why such an argument is so fucking moronic.

This is nothing more than a reskin of "cars kill more people than guns" stupidity. The function of a table is not to cause harm to children. The function of a car is not to cause impact damage to pedestrians. The function of a gun is to propel pieces of lead at high velocity with the intent to cause harm. Also there are certain vehicles you can't drive on the road, like an F1 McLaren, a T-55 or any vehicle from a Mad Max movie. And yet we are for some fucking reason obligated to throw common fucking sense out the window when it comes to firearms. Owning a weapon that has a higher rate of fire and magazine capacity than what the average GI carried on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day? Yeah that totally makes fucking sense.

Because some terrorists hijacked some planes with box cutter once, I am not allowed on board with my toe clippers. Because of another single isolated incident, I am only allowed to carry enough conditioner to wash one armpit. One teenager dropped a rock onto incoming traffic so every walkway must now have 3 metre unscalable fencing. McDonalds lost their shit over one single lawsuit about its coffee. Excessive overreaction occurs all the fucking time in America, except for guns and only for fucking guns. I guaran-fucking-tee that it will take only one lawsuit and your sarcastic throwaway remark about tables will become a fucking reality. And yet regulating firearms in the manner of most civilised countries is just too fucking hard, I guess. Enjoy your metal detectors around schools; a small price so you can cosplay Red Dawn.

You can’t take your gun on the airplane, either.

some of "us" can.

why do you think that is?
I dunno. Will this be on the test?

AFAICT, it's because some judges or legislators don't love 'Murica enough. Or haven't read the Second Commandment. Doesn't it say "shall not be infringed" ? It doesn't say "shall be infringed if Judge Yellow-Belly says so."

When the Redcoats do come, this time they'll bring Apache Attack helicopters and supersonic fighters. I dunno how Jimmy Bob and Karen's husband are gonna hold 'em off without machine guns.
