Has the media blown its outrage wad and have nothing left for covering nominee conflicts of interest during confirmation?

This is the real meat of the issue. I would like to see them and the Dems nail these noms to the wall. Are they not disclosing COIs right now?!? WTF?

I wish we could have a Henry Ford run for office. Someone with clear and sensible ideas and his own man financially.

They're rushing the confirmations through before the background checks are done.

What I saw on TYT was that the letter of the (1978) law says that the turning over of conflict of interest information is not required until Trump is sworn in.

The spirit of the law would say to give all that info now. Law was unfortunately designed when there was a higher level of ethics, disregarding even Trump in particular.

To use poor ethics to take advantage of a loophole of a law dedicated to ethics is disgusting.

What I mean in the bigger picture is that when the media helps the citizens have outrage fatigue over identity politics, they have no more outrage left for more important things like financial conflict of interest (COI).

Am I odd to think that COI corruption is massively more important than bigotry?

The media is also so COI compromised they can't have a moral high ground like way old school broadcasters from before I was even born maintained. You can imagine Walter Cronkite telling sober, calm truths about the COIs around Trump's team and it having a massive effect. Not so much with the current TV people.

Trump son-in-law's family donated to Israeli settler groups

By DANIEL ESTRIN, Associated Press

JERUSALEM (AP) — President-elect Donald Trump's son-in-law co-directs a family foundation that has donated tens of thousands of dollars to Jewish settlement organizations in the West Bank, according to tax records.

Trump has said Jared Kushner, who serves as a close adviser, could help negotiate a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. The donations by Kushner's parents' foundation could complicate his ability to be an impartial broker
.

Weird...Trump thinks a judge of Mexican heritage wouldn't be impartial but somehow Trump thinks his son in law will be.

But to answer your question: Yes. And they focused on stupid shit rather than things that matter in a time when their cup runneth over with things wrong with our pres. elect.

Thanks man!

So I was watching Trump's presser just now and had to turn it in disgust over his bragging about being offered a $2 Billion deal from a Dubai business man. I would imagine Pence was face palming on the side. Trump is gonna legally torch himself with his own words.

Why throw in all this #peepeegate nonsense and give him some unearned sympathy from an undeserved story when he such a psycho anyway.

This is gonna sound crazy, but Trump needs a Rahm Emmanuel type behind the scenes to have big enough brass balls to get in his face and tell him to STFU and not dangerously brag anymore. Someone who will literally point his finger in his face. The only hope Trump has is that it will be Ivanka.

That's what I'm saying! It's crazy how the media chose to focus on such nonissue stories when the elephant in the room is staring them right in the face.

I think Trump discovered something in '16. You can saturate the media with bullshit and become immune to oversight. He must have learned from the coal mining industry that can commit tons of violations and choke oversight board/court to a standstill.

Trump said so many things that were vile, untrue, flagrant, that the media just had no idea how to handle it. Seems to have repeated it with several Cabinet positions, nominating people who are thoroughly unvettable because the process would take months to a year.
