Here's a bit of cultural history from the 80'ies/90'ies. This is a video from the tail end of the 80'ies remix culture that brought us things like Hip Hop. Best bit is the guy running around a field in Scotland telling the sheep that they are sheep. Copyright really killed this scene. Too bad. There's more of it than ever. But since remixers are locked out from any main outlet, like Youtube, they're out-competed by shitty original content.

It's got footage from the Doctorin' the Tardis.

That's a piece of music history. Bill Drummond, who's a arty farty high brow, makes sweeping statements about how retarded popular culture is and that any moron could become famous. He's told to prove it. So he does. And just to prove he didn't do it for the money he burned all the money he made from it, and the rest of his hit songs. Which was £10 000 000 at that time. Quite the character. I know Frank Zappa came first. But every new popular music era needs one of these to piss all over it, to show it's vacuousness.
It's kind of funny now how we used to make fun of consumerist culture in the 90'ies. We thought the world would soon "wake up". Lol, it didn't. It became the new God. Today consumerism is the only religion we have left. I'm done fighting. I for one welcome our new corporate overlords.
