Idaho governor signs into law anti-transgender legislation

Keith,

you gave a slippery response. You said, "you can call yourself any race you want." This is not the same thing as you actually agreeing that the person is a different race.
i notice you didn't even reply to my question about 'women's drugs.'

And, yeah, i know what i said. I said, why would i care?
I don't.

I know race is important yo you, but i don't feel the same way. So my honest-fucking-answer is 'slippery' to you.
I really cannot help that. Not with honesty, sincerity.
In the same way a kid playing Star Wars may say, "I am Luke Skywalker!" but you know that he is not actually Luke Skywalker.
depends. How much effort did he [or she] put into their cosplay?
On Samhain, if they wanna be Luke Skywalker, i am willing to accept the claim.
It's just pretend.
Heh. And what if i think 'race' is largely pretend?
So saying, "That kid can say he's Luke Skywalker all he wants!" is a slippery way of not saying, "I agree that kid is ACTUALLY Luke Skywalker."
why do i give a shit if you think my perfectly candid response is 'slippery?' The fact tgst you refuse to understand where i am coming from is your hang-up, not mine.
See the difference?
not really.
So saying, "A man can call himself a woman all he wants" is not the same thing as you actually believing that the man is actually a woman.
We've had this exact failure to communicste before. You learned nothing.

And answered almost nothing.

What
Do
You
Mean
By
'Women's drugs?'

I begin to think you don't even know.

The evidence at the moment, is that the Covid-19 virus kills men at a noticeably higher rate than women.

The virus is very unlikely to know how people self-identify.

The biological difference between males and females may be a factor.

The biological difference between males and females may be a factor.
Current biology, or born biology?
Because Halfie is insisting that it's the at-birth plumbing that matters, no matter any after-factory modifications.

Your born "biology" in terms of your sex, is your biology until you die, regardless of medical or cosmetic interventions. Don't mean to sound harsh but there is no "changing of sex".

Ah, the Uncanny Ex-Men are powerless against biology.

Ah, the Uncanny Ex-Men are powerless against biology.

There are significant biological difference between males and females, and the failure to recognise that has mostly disadvantaged females.

But that's down to biology not gender identity.

And going by Keith's logic, a trans-woman would hear that and go, "Whoo hoo I'm a woman! I have less of a chance of dying!"

But sadly...no...he's still a man with the same risks as other men.

This would be like saying, "trans women have a 0% chance of getting testicular cancer because they are women and women don't get testicular cancer." As we all know, a lot of trans women still have their penis.

In this area, that's not entirely true, though.
You made a vague appeal to 'the biological differences between men and women." What if the crucial difference is, say, the testicles? Or the ovaries? Those are medical differences, but they can be removed.
They are, for reasons other than sex changes, too.

So that change could conceivably mean that transexuals have the same survival chances as their assumed gender.

I mean, i know men get breast cancer. Has any transexual gotten ovarian cancer after his ovaries were removed?

But sadly...no...he's still a man with the same risks as other men.
Ptove it.
What are the survival rates among transexuals and how do they compare to pre- and post-surgey peers?
If you don't have actual data, then it would be foolish to make such a claim.

Can women get testicular cancer? Of course you would say, "No, they don't have a penis and testicles." But then you wold say, "Trans women can because they still have a penis and testicles." So men and women are completely meaningless terms now, then.

You acknowledge there is a difference between women and trans-women. They are not simply "both women."

The crucial difference is not the testicles or the ovaries, or what can be removed or surgically simulated.

At conception, a person's sex is determined. And that's whether you're on a biological pathway to develop large or small gametes. That's it.

Transwomen should still get screening for prostate cancer. Transmen should still get cervical testing.

How people choose to identify, what makes them comfortable and secure, is fine. Making accommodations to support that is also fine. Requiring everyone to believe the same thing is not fine.

Frankly, you lie about me.

_I_ would say that PEOPLE with at least one testicle can get testicular cancer. And then doctors would use PROPLE drugs to treat it. I don't think any oncologist really thinks of their treatments as 'man drugs' or 'woman drugs.'

But that's your term. Still waiting for you to define it.

"The sleeping tablet Ambien is a blockbuster – it’s one of the most commonly used insomnia and jet lag treatments in the world. Yet a decade or so after its approval in 1992, worrying reports began to emerge. Users – particularly women – were behaving bizarrely after taking the sedative, then having no recollection of what they’d done. There were accounts of people being involved in driving accidents the morning after taking the tablets."

"Research confirmed that women were more likely than men to have bad side effects after taking Ambien.
Then, in 2013, US drug regulators confirmed there was a problem: the manufacturer’s recommended dose was double what it should be for women. The research leading up to the drug’s launch had not separated out men and women, so it had taken two decades of public use to recognise that women metabolised Ambien at a significantly slower rate than men. The result was that when they woke up, they still had the drug in their system, leaving them drowsy, confused and liable to have a car crash."

uh huh. And i should accept that you know this because...?

except that's not actually true. DNA at conception and the eventual development of sex organs is a lot more complicated than that. Nowhere near thst simplistic or straightforward.

Requiring everyone to believe the same thing is not fine.
Why not? What difference does it make to you what my birth gender was and whether or not i still present that way?
Why do you get to decide what i am, instead of me?

Whether you're a man or woman is a fundamental question when considering healthcare treatments. It's largely under-recognised but the best diagnoses and treatments for men and women can be significantly different. That's down to biology not gender identity.

Is this supposed to define 'women's drug?'
It says men and women react differently to the same drug, which is prescribed to men and women.
So, really, what you should have said was 'women's DOSAGE.' Not 'women's drug.'
Google some more, try to ad hoc support for you pr bullshit.

Can a rooster become a hen? A trans-hen? Would you eat a trans-hen’s eggs? Or a steer become a heffer? Would you drink the trans-cow’s milk?

Whether you're a man or woman is a fundamental question when considering healthcare treatments.
more importantly, a full medical history is crucial. Mentioning 'i used to be a man' and listing the treatments you had and are still undergoing is important.
But that does not necessarily mean you cannt clsim to be a woman now,.
It's largely under-recognised but the best diagnoses and treatments for men and women can be significantly different. That's down to biology not gender identity.
But why should that matter to anyone but the caregiver and the patient?

I have eaten Rocky Mountain Oysters. If someone serves 'rooster eggs,' i'd give them a try. Why not?

You can choose to identify how ever you want. But your sex is not a matter of choice. You can't just decide what it is. It's an objective fact of the material world.

And in some circumstances how you identify yourself might come up against other people's rights to how they identify themselves. A case in point being women's sports.

We have sex segregated sports mostly because of the considerable physiological advantages males have over females. If we're changing to having sports segregated by self-identified gender, that is a significant change to the detriment of biological females.

Or in other words females.
