If Kaine gave a rude Trumpian VP debate performance, could it have helped?

Looking back at the VP debate, I was stunned by Kaine asking like a meek little boy (or maybe school marm) to Pence if he agreed with some nonsense or other from Trump's statements.

He should have said, we are the backup in case the president dies (yes, used that word) and this guy Pence is a wacko. He hold crazy ideas and given the details. He should have said to America, "do you wanna be stuck with this lemon?" those EXACT words and not apologize, EVER.

A guy like Joe Biden at his 2008 age and exuding this attitude could have had Pence's lunacy in the spotlight for a couple media cycles.
