So posing as government officials and attempting to buy fetal tissue is illegal?

I doubt these are big crimes and they might not even be prosecuted.

The important story here is not what these deceivers tried to do.

The important story is that planned parenthood was shown to have committed no crimes.

Another example of right wing hysterics over absolutely nothing.

Dammit! My dastardly plot has been exposed. I was hoping for sausage, onions and fetus for dinner. :tomato:

Their crime is lying about Planned Parenthood and making phony "evidence" against an organization that is a blessing to women's health. They need to serve time for their deception. Our congress of course is part of the program of screwing with Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood does not deserve to be the a political football. They do so awful much good for all of us, for Congress to do its shit to them is uncalled for. The problem is that the Repuglicans don't have anything to offer people so they have played wedge issues for so long they think it can go on forever. Is there anything more insane than wanting to "revisit" legislation to overturn Roe vs Wade? Perhaps they also would like to take Kindergarten away from all those undeserving five year olds. The spite of the Repugs is overwhelming and they always manage to entrain a few people who think they are democrats on one or more wedge issue.

The really delicious irony is that the investigation started out as something else...

The footage, which purported to show Planned Parenthood employees discussing the sale of fetal tissue, prompted a probe into the healthcare organization when it surfaced several months ago. Instead, the evidence led a grand jury to believe that two of the people behind the videos, David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt, were themselves the ones who may have acted criminally, the Houston Chronicle reports.

“We were called upon to investigate allegations of criminal conduct by Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast,” said District Attorney Devon Anderson. “As I stated at the outset of this investigation, we must go where the evidence leads us. All the evidence uncovered in the course of this investigation was presented to the grand jury. I respect their decision on this difficult case.”

And now the anti-abortionists have made it possible for Planned Parenthood to start selling baby body parts.
I mean, who'd believe the next person to cry wolf trafficking?

If nothing else, this should aid the defamation suit that PP should bring.

And the defamation suit has real monetary amounts behind it as Planned Parenthood has to spend money to defend itself.

Hopefully, they can name the Center for Medical Progress itself in the suit and take all their assets donated to them by anti-abortionists. That would be glorious poetry.

Ohio stripped Planned Parenthood funding.

We have a 3.5 billion dollar budget short fall and these asshats need to waste time on ignorant ideology?
We feel that having people that work in the field of sexual health have no business educating children about sexual health. We'd rather pay for someone who goes from school to school, lie about sexual health issues to better inform our students.
