Iraqi man dies after Trump administration deports him

Who here said he was?
It's a slight hyperbole of your position. For rhetorical purposes only. :)

Don't know the answer to that.
It's easy to blame Trump, or ICE, but the fact is, this guy has been in trouble with law all his adult life, and probably before then too. I agree he needed help, the big question is, why didn't his family, who is very vocal now, do something when they could actually help?
I find it hilarious that one article about him (don't know which one now, I read several) said that he felt that the deportation came suddenly. Huh? He had an order of removal since 2005 and he recently cut his tether. ICE didn't exactly sneak up on him suddenly and without warning.

From the interview of his lawyer by Rachel Maddow. I'll see if I can find it on YT and post it. As far as I know, home invasion is the same as burglary but there are people in the dwelling at the time. The answer to the question of his family may be there too.

YT is not exactly unbiased, and I would not trust what a guy's lawyer said. Still, might be worth a listen. But as I said, it doesn't matter whether burglary or home invasion, both are felonies.

We're not obsessing over your sex life.
Then why do you keep bringing it up? Used to be just Frikki who obsessed over it. Now it's several of you.

We're pointing out your hypocrisy.

Nothing hypocritical. I do not have a record, he has an extensive criminal record. At most, solicitation is a misdemeanor while burglary and assault with deadly weapon are felonies. And lastly, I argue that there is no good reason to criminalize sex work, while there are very good reason to criminalize assault and burglary.

YT is YouTube. I looked for the Maddow interview on YouTube.

He was still a citizen of said country. The rest of his family applied for citizenship, he did not.

True. But he never bothered to become a citizen. I have. Which disproves your claim.

If the authorities knew of your criminal behavior with prostitutes, you would not have been granted citizenship.
You are presuming I visited any sex workers back then.

Also, sex work should be completely legal. There is no legitimate reason to ban it. Unlike say assault with deadly weapon or home invasion, two things your Jimmy "more of an American" al-Daoud did.

Again, when leftists run out of arguments they love to go personal. And for some reason, some of you love to obsess over my sex life. It's not healthy Zip. Mind your own zipper!

We're not obsessing over your sex life. We're pointing out your hypocrisy.

What hypocrisy? Soliciting prostitution is typically a misdemeanor, as far as I know. It certainly isn't on the level of a violent crime like assault with a deadly weapon.

Here is part of the citizenship oath: " that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America". Derec has spoken many times of breaking that oath. And again, if his prostitute solicitation was known before receiving citizenship, he would have not gotten it.

Soliciting sex from a minor is a felony, Derec, and you said you do not verify ages of your prostitutes. Have you changed your procedure since you last got feedback on how to mitigate risk your prostitutes are trafficking victims? Anyhoo, 20 convictions for the Greek guy and hundreds of luckily not getting caught with prostitutes have one main difference: luck. Bragging about not getting caught isn't a logical argument. If you want to claim another difference is non-violence, I am open-minded to that, but how can it be verified if none of the prostitutes' ages are checked?

Soliciting sex from a minor is a felony, Derec,
So now we are speculating over slight possibilities of sex workers lying about their age?
Not to mention that you are just digging deeper into your (and ZiprHead's and Jarhyn's) obsessions and moving further and further off topic.

As I said before, y'all need to mind your own zippers. Btw, have you demanded birth certificates of all your sex partners, Don?

In other words, you might be an undocumented felon and might be providing market demand for violent sex traffickers, even after being told about the risk...still refusing to check age.

I know my wife's age and don't sleep with anyone else, let alone unknown persons. In any case, a main difference between you and the guy you are complaining about is luck. If you had been caught 20 times before becoming a citizen, you would have been deported. Would you have wanted to be deported to a country where you didn't speak the language and was a war zone?

I know my wife's age
How can you be sure?
In any case, a main difference between you and the guy you are complaining about is luck.
That's a load of BS. First, he was committing REAL crimes. Things that should be crimes, and his crimes were often felonies as well. And he got in trouble with the law his adult life, and probably before then too.

I never committed assault with deadly weapon or a home invasion.

This has nothing to do with luck. It's like comparing a guy who is smoking some weed to a bank robber or something, and say that it's only luck the bank robber was arrested but the pot smoker was not.

Having sex with prostitues without checking their age should be illegal. However, whether it should be illegal or not is a red herring. My opinion is that if an immigrant has 20 convictions that could have been avoided (not crimes of economics or survival), they should be deported or given a choice to be detained. They should not become citizens at least not without demonstrated rehabiliation because that would be a false oath. My policy opinion is the same for him and you. That you can't see ANY similarities at all is your problem because you refused to adapt to American culture and legal system, not my problem.

refused to adapt to American culture
Bullshit. Sex work is integral part of American culture. It has a long history in the United States.

Your derailing obsession has driven you to outright fiction!

How about we get back to Jimmy Al-Daoud. I wonder if your side will stop advocating for his cause if it turns out he once hired a sex worker and did not demand her birth certificate?

You are not addressing any points, Derec.

There were points? Or just your derailing obsession?

But if you want to get back to Jimmy Al-Daoud, answer me my question: will you still support him if he ever committed the unpardonable sin of hiring a sex worker without spending half an hour checking her age documentation first?

See post#74

Did you intentionally leave out the part where he was diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic? He needed a hospital not a prison and certainly did NOT deserve to be deported.
First, lack of insulin is not a quick or unnoticeable death. Someone in Iraq willfully let him die.

Second, you left this part out:

According to the ACLU and a POLITICO search of court records, Aldaoud had a criminal conviction for disorderly conduct and served 17 months for a home invasion.

Good luck convincing people it was Trump's fault a violent felon got deported.

It has a long history of being illegal.

You are a criminal. The fact that you have never been caught doesn't change the fact that you break the law by engaging in sex trafficking.
