I have been reading a few things about the guy recently. That he is involved with funding the following:

Femen
Ferguson Riots (activists)
Anti-Trump demonstrations
Color Revolutions

What is the truth of all this?
 
Soros has been demonized by far right conspiracy theorists for years. He has in fact done a lot of good. He helped support anti-communist figures that helped in the collapse of the Soviet Union, has battled for democracy in Burma and other good works. The right has disliked him for support of Palestinian rights opposed to the heavy handed Israeli policies that have lead to self-defeating actions. Irritating the Israel at any cost cabal.

But on the whole, Soros has been a refreshing presence as far as I am concerned. He is definitely an interesting SOB and if I had billions of dollars to play with, I might well do some of the sorts of things he has been up to.

If he can be the boogey man to Glen Beck and people of that ilk, he must be doing something right.
 
The basic reality: Soros, like many wealthy people, does have an organization for his charitable giving, and they do give grants to various other charities and businesses that align with his goals. And like every other such organization, groups go through a process to apply for grants.

The conspiracy idea where George Soros is some sort of criminal mastermind formenting chaos throughout the land in order to...something something, however, is a bunch of bullshit.

Soros is very liberal. He rather disliked Bush, was open about it and gave lots of money to oppose Bush's re-election. He gave money to Obama. And is now supporting Clinton. By doing so, he has driven the fringies crazy. It's standard right wing crazy. Like Rubio's robotic claim that Obama is destroying America purposefully. It's the same sort of demonization as claiming Obama is a secret Moslem and is not an American citizen etc.
